Blackstone Seasoning Recall Walmart Seasoning Recalled Over Salmonella Risk
Blackstone Products is recalling certain lots of its Parmesan Ranch seasoning because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella, according to a company announcement posted by the Food and Drug Administration. The seasoning was sold nationwide at Walmart stores and on the Blackstone Products website. To date, no illnesses have been reported, the company said.

The recall covers Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning in 7.3-ounce containers (item No. 4106). Customers should check the bottom of the package for the lot code and best-by date. The affected lots are 2025-43282 (best-by date July 2, 2027); 2025-46172 (best-by date Aug. 5, 2027); and 2026-54751 (best-by date Aug. 12, 2027).
For shoppers, the main question is whether the recalled bottle is in their kitchen. According to the company’s announcement, if the product does not match any of the listed lot numbers and dates, it is not included in this recall. If it does match, customers should not use it on food, even if the seasoning looks and smells normal.
Blackstone said the recall is tied to dry milk powder supplied by California Dairies, Inc. That ingredient was recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination and was later used by a third-party manufacturer in the seasoning product. The recall is limited to the listed Blackstone Parmesan Ranch products and their associated lots.
Salmonella can cause foodborne illness, especially in young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. Healthy people may experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare cases, infection can become more serious if the bacteria enter the bloodstream.
The practical guidance is straightforward. According to the company announcement, customers with the affected seasoning should not consume it and should dispose of it immediately. Those who bought one of the recalled products can contact Blackstone Products at 1-888-879-4610 for a replacement or additional information. The company said the phone line is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time.
The recall may prompt Walmart, Blackstone, or federal food-safety officials to issue additional updates if more product details become available. Customers who recently purchased Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning should monitor official recall notices, especially if they shop at Walmart or ordered the product directly from Blackstone.
For now, the most important step is to check the container before using it. The lot code and best-by date determine whether the product is part of the recall. If there is any uncertainty, customers should avoid using the seasoning until they confirm the details via the FDA notice, Walmart, or Blackstone Products.
